I know — it’s been a WHILE. Please forgive me on these long pauses I take. If you’re my friend on facebook, you know that I “be” around, on my phone most of the time. My laptop has been in the shop for months — this one is on loan from my sister and I’ll have it for another 45 minutes, at which point she’ll be over here and I’ll have to return it! lol
The person fixing my laptop is doing it for free — so that is why I’m not pestering. I know akh is busy I will not jump on his back on the matter… but it’d be nice to get my laptop back. Husband says I should let it GO because it’s OLD, but it’s still ticking even past it’s life span expectations.
I know so many women that are deathly afraid of polygyny. They have husbands that are persuing it, or they know me, personally, and the very idea of sharing a man scares them completely. They fear jealousy, someone possibly being better than them in some way. They were bred to be competitive, to be the one wife of a man. They — WE — have all been taught that we are to act jealously if our man expresses interest in another woman. They — WE, again lol — have all been taught that if he loves someone else, he cannot possibly love us!
This is an untruth! Just as you can have more than one best friend (or at least I do – I have 4 total, 3 of which I’ve known since childhood), or more than one child that you love, a man can have love for each woman that is his wife.

Another thing that is shocking to me is when we, in this society, are okay with, say, Bill Clinton having a mistress. Or ourselves or our friends having multiple baby daddies/mamas — but when someone mentions a man, being faithful to his WIVES, making a commitment to these WOMEN — people wanna freak out. Why the freak out? We’re not talking Warren Jeffs underage child, forced polygyny, we are talking consenting adults making an agreement to be a family, to raise their children and support one another, together.
